So this is going to be a journal about art! Who would have thought that this was possible???
It's mostly about my style. I've been getting a lot of comments on my blog and DA about my style. More particularly about noses and faces. Now I know how styles change over time. To be honest, I HONESTLY like my style right now. But to be even more honest, I want to change it. I got into Japanese anime when I was 11 years old. It's been my greatest influence since then. I started drawing because of Fruits Basket and have been developing it since.
But that "anime style" is no longer something that intrigues me. Take me back 5 years and I would have been disgusted by different styles. Yeah I was one of those anime elitists. Sorry. But now it's changing, just like all artist's styles.
I'm currently working on a new look for my drawings. You should start to see more of it soon. It won't look that much different from my style now, as it is something I'm just starting to work on, but it will be happening.
My eyes won't change much, I'm too in love with that shiny look of eyes but the noses, mouth, hands, BODIES. All of that will be now under development. I know it's odd to see this sort of post, most of you are probably like, "Styles change all the time, I don't care."
But this is actually a bit of a leap for me, as it is the first time I want seriously CHANGE something.
